Theoule-sure-Mer

Theoule-sur-Mer is a very pretty French village approximately ten - fifteen minute-walk (just over a mile) from the Villa - you will find a small marina and two lovely beaches, some fantastic beachfront (a few with tables on the beach)  and inland restaurants, the main street offers local shops and a small spa.  Originally a sleepy fishing port, the village retains much of its Provencal style. With the red cliffs of the Estrel mountains as a backdrop, the turquoise waters, and sandy beaches it is the epitome of a Mediterranean idyll.

If you don’t fancy eating in one of many restaurants or snack bars then why not have a picnic on the beach, you could always try to join in a game of boules with the locals or watch the local teams water jousting - a highly entertaining pastime.

Parking in high season can be an issue, but as it’s only 10 minutes from the Villa and you certainly don’t need a car when you are there, walk down and you can always call for an UBER ride home (approx 6 - 10 Euro’s)

The main street offers local shops, bank, butchers, boulangerie, and a small spa supermarket.

There are a number of stunning walks including a complete circuit of the headland - L’Aiguille - which takes about 1hr 15 mins, or if you fancy something more adrenaline fuelled visit the local  water sport centre for ski-ing jet-skiing etc  or hire a sailboat or catamaran to name a few.
Theoule-sur-Mer has Grocers, Boulangaries, Pharmacy, Post Office, Bank, Small supermarket, Tobacconist as well as other local shops.
From either Marina during  the summer season you can catch the Ferry to Cannes, The Islands, St.Tropez or Monaco.

La Napoule

La Napoule can be found 10/15  minutes walk in the other direction, (aproximatley 1 mile)  a larger village (more a small town) than Theoule, with a larger Marina, where you can charter a boat to take you to the Isle de Lerins Islands, for lunch (voted in the best top 10 restaurants to visit in the world) the village also boasts ‘Chateau de la Napoule,’ a restored French castle on the ocean front, it is classified as an historical landmark and the gardens are listed as among the most notable in France. There are an abundance of restaurants, pizzeria’s and even a Michelin star restaurant.  If your feeling lucky you can even visit the Casino at the end of the board walk.

You will find the train station at the bottom of the hill from the Villa, or the one in LaNapoule, both serving Cannes, Nice and a variety of interesting places you can visit.
Sea Ferry’s depart from both Theoule and LaNapoule during the Sumer season and will take you to Cannes, The islands, Les Trayas and others (check with the Ferry company)

Port de la Rague

Whilst not a village, it is definitely worth a mention and is the closet to the Villa.  A small port, where you will find yet another beach, 3 restaurants and a small cafe, which does fabulous breakfasts, scuba diving, watersports, and a lovely walk along the coast to LaNapoule.
The villa is stunning, lovely pool, alfresco dining area and views .
